We're sorry we missed TBFC. Apparently they were going to do a photo shoot, but I'm not sure if we got there before or after them. We are talking about doing a day trip up to Bastrop/Buescher next Saturday. We need to get B out more!

Brinson in the bluebonnets (suprise!)
We decided to make the road trip to Columbus for the bluebonnets! It was a nice drive. Meme and Pappy came along also. We were a little worried because most of the way there were very few patches of flowers. When we reached Mr. Holland's property (hope I got that right), we were very pleased with the huge area of bluebonnets he has. Brinson, however, was not thrilled with the sun. We had a hard time getting her to look up. She was also just enamored with the pretty blue flowers.

OH BLUEBONNET !!! SORRY WE MISSED THE BRIN...
WE GOT OUR "PHOTOSHOOT" DONE RIGHT AFTER CHURCH AND WERE ON THE ROAD TO KATY BY NOON. WE HAD A BIRTHDAY DATE WITH A BIG RAT NAMED CHUCKEE.
GLAD YOU WEREN'T DISAPPOINTED. THERE WERE LOTS OF BB DOWN HWY 71 TO AUSTIN, BUT SO SCARY TO STOP FOR PICTURES.
BRIN IS QUITE THE SOUTHERN BELLE IN THE FLOWER GARDEN !!
MR HOLLAND GOT A BIG BRIBE ( A PLATE OF OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES) FOR THE USE OF HIS FLOWERS. HE LOVES LETTING "THOSE LADIES BRING THEIR BABIES FOR PICTURES"
