Eye appt

Good news today!  Brinson's "bad" eye is better!  She can see the biggest letter on the board which she couldn't before.  Dr. Coats says we need to patch her 6 hours a day....ugh.  We barely get 2-3 hrs now.   We've explained it to her and knowing her vision is better because of the patching makes us want to do it even more.  We go back and see him the end of June.  Very promising!!!!

Birthdays and updates

I know it's been a while since we last posted!  We have been so busy with B, watching her grow, doing activities at school, etc. that we've not had any time to keep up with this blog!
This past Saturday March 3 we held B's birthday bash.  It worked out well this year with it being on Cooper's birthday.  It was a time for celebration, not sadness.  We had a face painter/balloon maker come, as well as a carousel bouncy house for all the kids to enjoy.  I'm so grateful for all our friends and family who come to support Brinson.  I got a huge surprise with Kim and Zachary flying in from Cali to join in the celebration.  It was so wonderful to get to see them.
Today is Brinson's actual birthday.  I cannot believe our miracle is now 4.  Time has just flown by.  She's growing up too fast!!!  We will try and post pictures at some point of all the celebrations...it's kinda turned into a weekend birthday party.
We are leaving this week for vacation in Cozumel, Mexico.  We are so excited!  Can't wait to see the beach and ocean!  Fun and sun here we come!
Here's a little update on what's going on with B.   We go see the eye doc today to get a status update on her eye.  I'm hoping for good news.  We've been patching almost everyday and I sure hope it helped.
She goes to school 2 days a week (tue, thur).  Next year we are putting her in mon, wed, fri.   We have enrolled her in dance class (ballet and tap) as well as gymnastics.  She even has a private gym lesson on Fridays.  We just finished up some swimming lessons at our local YMCA.  We are hoping to continue those when we return from vacation.
She's growing like a weed....almost 31 lbs and I think she's around 38 1/2- 39in tall.   Her appetite is still like a toddler, picky!
Meme has been here with us since December.  She will leave to go back to Indiana the day after we get back from Mexico.  It's always wonderful having her here.
I'm sure there is stuff I've probably missed but at least I've posted something LOL.  We want Brinson to be able to read this one day and know all about her life.  I wish this was available when i was growing up.

Arizona trip

My cousin Jennifer was getting married and we decided to make it a family trip out of the visit.  So we tacked on a few days after the wedding to stay in Sedona and visit a few sites like the Grand Canyon.

The last time I went to the Grand Canyon it was sort of the trip from hell.  What could go wrong did!  And of course traveling in the car for a million hours with 2 small boys beating the heck out of each other...and arguing about the line...."don't cross the line"  "I saw you one my side"....etc.  You get the idea.

Our trip was much more subdued.  Brinson was a real trooper.    Did great in the car and even though having a fever much of the trip, she really did not complain.  Brinson used Mommy's iPad and her MobiGO....so really she was very distracted.

In Phoenix (wedding location), we had a little family reunion.   It was really nice to get everyone together.

I asked Brinson you wanna go outside and play, she said "Yes, let me get my shoes".  I just decided to see what takes so long.  This day was really no different than any other day.    I took a few random shots as she picked through her shoes.  Pretty much just like her mom....can't make up her mind and takes too long.
