Hahah...no we are NOT expecting!!!
Brinson's biggest delay, believe it or not, is her speech. We have a speech therapist coming twice a month to help her. She is finally starting to say "baby" and actually knows who/what a baby is. This is huge for her. She's always verbalizing sounds but doesn't really put "mama" with me and "dada" with Ned. She points to the lights and fan but can't say what they are (or won't say lol). We took this video last night at bathtime.
Also, she saw the dentist this week, as well as her Endocrinologist. The dentist isn't too concerned about her teeth being discolored, we are still to brush them once or twice a day. She tried to clean them and B tolerated it for a few minutes then wailed. We go back to see her in 6 months.
The endocrine doc says her pubic hair and breast tissue have decreased since her last visit. We go again in 4 months and if things stay the same we will be DISCHARGED from the endocrine clinic service. Yay!!! One more little thing to check off!
Meme's been here since end of Sept and it's nice to have her. We have just finished remodeling our guest (Brinson's) bathroom and in one week are going to remodel the Master bath...oh joy. "We" didn't really do it, but hired it out. Still a pain either way. But we are so glad to finally be getting it done!
Enjoy the video!!!
Meme's back in town! We are very happy to have her back for a few weeks. The Baldwins, Rahmans, and us are planning a trip to the Dewberry farm in the next few weeks or so and really want her to go. Wait till you see B's Halloween costume!!!
Brinson has been whiney lately along with waking up at 2 and 3am the last 3 nights in a row. Well, we found out why this morning.... she has 5 NEW TEETH coming in! And...4 of those 5 are molars. The poor baby...We started giving Tylenol on Sunday thinking it was just one tooth. Tonight we started tooth tablets so hopefully we will all have a restful evening.. I'll get some pics uploaded as soon as I can figure out a way to take them...lol She's quite elusive when it comes to her teeth.
The OT and Dietician came out today. Here we have been worrying about her eating etc....we've changed her over to whole milk entirely. (Pardon if i've already blogged about that) She is no longer on Neocate Jr. We are adding Carnation Instant Breakfast to the majority of her bottles to help with extra nutrition and calories. She is transitioning to table foods and we are only supplementing her diet with baby food when needed.
She weighed in at 19lbs 6oz and is 30 1/2" long. I'm guessing we don't have to worry much anymore LOL!
Brinson's trying to learn to walk. Still a little scared but getting braver by the day. You'll notice the "splat" at the end of this video. I stopped and restarted the camera right after it, and her reaction to the fall is so funny. Also, note the "fake laugh" on the second video....really cute. She's doing that alot now.
This was the first of about 30. She's so funny to watch. It's just awesome watching her figure things out. She definitely has a mind of her own.
I haven't posted in awhile. Like Ned said in his previous post, I've been down for the count with my stupid back. Luckily I am pain free now and although the Orthopod told me I had no lifting restrictions, he also said "Should you be lifting? Probably not". Hard to do with an 18+ pound toddler! Thanks to all our family who has stepped in to help. Also thank you to Aunt Barb for the lovely note!
