New glasses

Brinson got some stylish new glasses today. Now she just has to get used to them. They are big girl glasses and don't have the hooked part that go behind her ears. She has been putting them on, taking them off, putting them on, etc all afternoon! Aunt KD will be proud, they have a blue stripe!

Memorial Weekend Part 1

We just got back this evening from 4 days in Galveston. It was our first official trip with Brinson, and it went well....except for the nights she wouldn't sleep. She ended up in the king bed with us for 2 of the 3 nights. We stayed at the San Luis and while the hotel staff was very pleasant, I was unhappy with the view from our room. We tried to change rooms but none were available. I decided to not be angry and to just enjoy the mini vacation. We went to the beach, and took B to the pool. She just loves water!!! And I'm not sure the pics will show it, but that kid TANS! It's the cuban in her!!

On Saturday we got together with the Baldwins (and Kim's mom Marla) and went to Jamaica Beach for the day, then out to dinner at Landry's afterwards. Everyone was pretty pooped.

Tonight Nana is keeping Brinson so Ned and I could have some time to ourselves. It's so quiet in the house, it's crazy lol. Gee, I even have time to post pics in a timely manner!! Ned is in the process of downloading all his pics. He had the waterproof camera so my photos were limited.

Dyana and Dava, sorry we didn't get in touch. Things were busy busy busy!!! Love to all!

View of the room from our room. At least we could see the ocean.

Farmer Brinson

We went out to see the chicken coop and to visit Grammy and Grandfather today. They are almost finished and should be putting the chickens out in the next week or so. Brinson was dressed and ready to work. She was helping Grandfather....kinda. We stopped and had lunch before heading back to the house.

Nice!

Memorial Day Preview

Yesterday we picked up Abuelo and headed to Galveston on a spur of the moment trip. Ned has some days off this week and we were trying to decide what to do/where to go. We scoped out the beaches and hotels. We finally made a decision and are staying at the San Luis resort. I am so looking forward to this mini vacation! This will be our first time away from home with B! She loves the water and we can't wait to take her swimming!!! Stay tuned for more pics next week!

Color coordinating lol

I walked into the kitchen this afternoon and Brinson had gone through our "plastic" drawer again. She had the yellow bowl on her head and it matched her shorts! lol I walked out of the kitchen and grabbed the camera. She is such a comedian!!!!!!!

Annnnnnnnnnnnd she's off!

It's just amazing that she's up and almost running in a matter of days! After all that time crawling, it seems like she just blossomed with the walking in the past few days. Herrrrre we go!

Such a comedian

Exhausting

Brinson and I went to "Toddler time" at the public library today. I think she had fun, although she really doesn't have the patience for 4 stories. There were activities in between that helped, but the whining commenced in the middle...lol

We had lunch after storytime.

And now, it's naptime. Who knew stories could be so exhausting?
