Finding her fingers on a lazy saturday morning

On a lazy Saturday morning, Brinson finds her fingers and sleeps very well. Mommy and Daddy did not get out of bed till 745am (of course I feed her at 330am).

Brinson and I took a tour of the backyard last night. The first thing we noticed is she was squinting.....hence the sunglasses.

Our outing lasted a mere 10 minutes because Daddy was being eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Tummy time with Mommy

Mommy wanted some snuggle time with Brinson. It was just what Brinson needed. Usually late in the afternoon before dinner Brinson will get a bit sleepy, but not enough to sleep on her own. So she gets a bit fussy, cranking....or whatever to you call it.

And when this happens she starts rubbing her ears, eyes and pulling at tubes. She even pulled her NG tube out this evening. No biggie, Mommy cleaned it and her nose and put it right back in.

Today was a long day for both Brinson, Meme and Parents. We had a doctor's appointment at 1130am in the medical center(28 miles, 35-40minutes in the car) with Dr. Rossell (peditrician)

With the doctor, we discussed seeing the Dr. Krishnan to determine when the feeding can be modified (change from feeding pump to rice cereal or bottles or something else). Her office will be doing the scheduling for us. Very nice feature BTW.

Brinson also gained 6oz in 7days (8lbs 11oz this is approximate based on accounting for 1.5oz in diaper and clothes she was wearing). That is good weight gain, so the doctor will not be making any changes to her feeds.

We also needed to get an electrolyte lab drawn. The lab is to determine if the electrolytes are balanced. Currently Brinson is getting Potassium Chloride in her formula. That means we needed to make a hike over to Texas Children's Hospital. That was a big ordeal...we thought valet would be easy, but it was not. Next time we will just park in the garage and walk up. A lot less stressful and you don't feel rushed.

We got home around 3pm today...so you can see it was a long day. Everyone is sort of pooped.

On a schedule

Brinson seems to be on a schedule and everyone is working around her schedule. We love it. Bath time is usually a fun time. So is the quiet times in the morning when all of us should be asleep. (sometimes when coming from her bedroom to the swing she will get a bit fussy which requires some patting). It just makes you realize life is so precious.

Bath time is so much fun, she turns into a zombie afterwards....

Day out and Brinson sleeps

Yesterday Mommy and Daddy take a break. I played golf with Uncle Mike and Mommy goes out with Grammy and Meme for a movie and shopping.

And Brinson sleeps. Yes she is sleeping good. She usually take s a few naps throughout the day but sleeps all night long starting at 9pm or so. At around 530-6am, she likes a to get in the swing and sleeps till around 8am or so.
