Yesterday afternoon the Baldwin's made the long trek to visit us. We had a great time visiting and sleeping. Zachary is a cute kid and doing very well. He is nearly 10lbs and growing bigger & stronger each day. We are both counting the days when Brinson and Zachary can play together.

A small wonder
Here I am holding Brinson. Her head just keeps going further and further back...even if you hold it. She is sneeking....trying to back out of the prongs. But really folks, who could blame her.
If all goes well the nitric will be removed late next week and then again we repeat the echo to confirm everything is ok. Then we get to ween on the CPAP. I project Brin will be on cannulas the first week in August, ie when Meme (Lisa's mom) arrives.
Oh BTW she hit her max weight last night at 6lbs 7.3oz. Woohoo!!!
Hey, I am sideways....put me down. :>
My favorite pastime...
I am such a princess!

Upped Calories and Feeds
Yesterday they upped the calories to 27 and feeds to 15.6. Because of this her residuals increased greatly (from 4cc to 10cc). She also was very sleepy trying to process all that neocate.
Even so we were able to catch a glimpse of her awake.
Also last night Brinson did have 3 grandparents (Nana, Grandfather and Grammy) including Daddy come and visit. Mommy's back is bothering her therefore she is at home resting.

Pulmonologist has finally come
Monday night, I got to hold for about 1.5 hours.
She got rave reviews from the pulmonologist. The plan is to start weening off the remainder of the nitric and then CPAP. YEAH!!!! To be honest that was the original plan from him all along.
The good news we finally have a plan to progress to cannulas
Her feeds are almost to max. She is at 14.5cc at 27calories and max feeds for her weight is around 18cc per hour.
Noises while she is sleeping.

great news on the eyes
Full regression on the ROP. They will check again in 4 weeks. Brinson will likely have no problems with her eyes beyond say.....glasses.

Mommy only day!!!
I love my mobile
I like the monkey!!!
While Daddy is at home trying to get over a sinus infection, Mommy has Brinson duty all weekend.
They went up on her calories from 20 to 22 and her iv fluids are way down from 14cc per hour to around 5cc per hour. Another week or maybe less, we will be done with IVs....yeah!!!!. Which means they will be able to pull the yucky central line. Her feeds are up around 13cc per hour and she is finally steadily gaining. They going to try feeding her slowly instead of continuously....I am not sure if that will happen today if we are just talking about it.
We have had 3 plus days....which is a good thing because for about a week she really was not gaining. She has almost hit her top weight (which was skewed because of the obstruction). Check out the Growth Stats in the right part of the screen.
The CPAP settings will remain the same until she gets a consult from pulmanology....hopefully on Monday. Her O2 sats remain pretty good regardless if the prongs are in or not. She still needs something, but everyone agrees it probably is not CPAP.....which is a good thing.
BTW We are now holding a couple of times a day, usually once in the afternoon and once in the evening. AND No time limits. On Friday, I held her for nearly 2 hours, which was awesome. My arms were sore from just patting her back....pretty funny eh? I guess I need to hit the gym before Brin comes home. ;> Lisa held her twice yesterday as well.
100% wow
I am so excited about sitting up.
