Knock Knock

Status Post Eye Surgery

I finally got a video of B's eyes. They look better today, however, she now has a runny nose and is sneezing up a storm. I sure hope it's just allergies!

Pot

This happened a couple a days ago. I was working in the kitchen early in the morning just after eating breakfast with Brinson and I hear this moaning. I came around the corner and this is what I saw.......

A child stuck in the pot.

No zombie is going to eat my brains....hehehe

Silly at Grandparents

Last month, Bert had his niece and her son over from Kansas. So it made for a good opportunity to have dinner at the grandparents. Brinson was quite silly at times. It was so much fun!

Brinson telling time already!

Is that a butterfly on my shirt?

Eye surgery update

Brinson had her eye surgery today without incident. Everything went well, she cried when waking up from anesthesia, slept, slept more, and still slept. We had to stay an extra hour because she was sooooo sleepy. She's slept most of the evening. As I'm typing this, we are just finishing up her dinner. She's sitting in her high chair, still outta it, but smiling. :) What a trooper! I don't have any pics of Brinson's eye.....(too difficult to get one) but I found something on the internet that is a close resemblance.

Pretty creepy huh?

B's sitting on Daddy's lap watching "Single Ladies" and is happy. All is well. :)

Too funny for words

Brinson started this at dinner tonight, and as you can see I was cracking up. No, it's nothing neurological....she does it with prompting. Ned said she looked possessed and doesn't seem to think it was funny. He said people watching the videos will think she's got something going on. I hope people see the humor in it as I do.
I can't stop laughing everytime I watch it. We went over to see Grandfather and Grandma tonight and she showed them her "new move". It seemed to have started with mangos...haha!

A Night at the Improv

Sunday night Nana and Grampa watched Brinson. Ned and I had some time to go out and have fun. I had the priviledge to not only see my favorite comedian, I also got to meet him after the show. If you aren't familar with Robert Schimmel, he beat Stage 3 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. This year will mark 10 years cancer free for him. Not only is he brilliant, to me, he is by far, the funniest man on the face of this planet.
This pic is not a good one, I was caught in the rain, I look like Rudolph from an hour of non-stop laughing/crying, and you can see my double chin...lol! Unfortunately this is the only one I took.

On a side note, Brinson is having her eye surgery tomorrow at 10am. Please send prayers our way. It should be no big deal, I still can't help but worry.

Stephen F Austin State Park

We took a spur of the moment trip today to Stephen F Austin State Park which is about an hour's drive from our house. The park was full but the trails were scarce with people. It was nice even though we thought it was going to rain. It's so tranquil out there and Brinson loved it. Part of one of the trails took us right along side the river. Daddy was trying out his new pack and she enjoyed the ride. She did start getting antsy part of the way in, so we took her out and walked with her.....that lasted about 10 minutes lol.. We went and had snacks/drinks at the picnic area before heading home this pm.

Out on the trail

Lunch today with Brinson

...was fun and silly! She's really into the fake laughing now. She does it all the time.

On a side note: We weighed her on our scale tonight and it showed she weighs 23 1/2 lbs. Will be interesting to see if that's correct when Trina comes next week.
