Spring is here...

And the azaleas are budding and blooming! Thought I'd get some picture action with Brinson! Turned out to be pretty funny..... she tolerated me for a bit.

"Ok, what did you just put behind my ear?!?"

Peek a boo...

Ok, so one behind each ear....not so much. I know it's blurry, I was laughing.

"Are we done yet?"

Such a sport!

Now we're just waiting for the bluebonnets to thicken...can't wait to take pics then!!!

Grandfather's chicken coop

Grandfather and Grandma have some land in the "country" so we went to visit them on this past weekend. Man the weather was gorgeous. Grandfather is building a chicken coop and is going to let Brinson pick out her own chick to take care of. We wanted to check out the progress, and take a little drive.

Lunch at Cracker Barrel

After running around Houston today, we stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch. Brinson loves their chicken and dumplings and grilled cheese! Nana met us there afterwards. Then we all came back to the house and enjoyed the rest of the sunny day. (I mowed, lol)

Kindermusik

Today was Brinson's first Kindermusik experience. She had a great time interacting and singing with everyone. I discovered just how bad of shape I'm in today also....lol We did alot of singing, jumping and walking in circles. Then more skipping in circles...etc. I didn't get any "action" pictures. Meme was with me but I think she was too busy laughing to take pics.

On a side note, we attempted twice this week to go to the zoo. First was Weds, you know, the day we were supposed to have a 30% chance of rain but it poured all day? Then we made a second attempt today after Kindermusik. Apparently most of Houston had the same idea. We drove through 3 different parking lots for about 20 minutes looking for a spot. No luck. It was a mess.

Meme leaves to go back to Indiana tomorrow. We will all miss her alot. She's such a huge help to us when she's here, and Brinson just loves her to death. I'm not going to know what to do with myself without her here. Brinson is gonna have to take care of me. :(

LOVE YOU BUNCHES MEME AND THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

My gift to myself

Remember on Cooper's birthday when I said I had bought myself something special in remembrance of him? Well, here it is. It came in yesterday. It's on a necklace that I wear 24/7. And those are his actual footprints. The amazonite stone is indicative of his birthstone.
I bought it from My Forever Child, and man, did she do a good job.

Fun times in the Zaldivar household

The last week has just been so pleasant here in the house. Brinson had vomiting on Weds night, followed by diarrhea on Thurs night.....My mom started vomiting Thursday morning...her diarrhea ensued shortly after. She was so sick that she was unable to fly back to Indiana yesterday. Then last night after dinner, my tummy was a little upset. Before I knew it, I vomited all last night and have had diarrhea since. Now this is the kind where you aren't sure whether to sit on the toilet and look for something to puke in, or to puke and hope you don't...well you know. It's been so severe that all three of us had "accidents" at one time or another. I cannot believe how fast it hit also. Today I'm running fever of 100.3-100.8 and that's after Tylenol. Mom ran some and B thankfully had none. At least the sickness staggered so that we werent' all sick at exactly the same time. Mom and I were just talking about how neither of us have been this sick for as long as we can remember. I just hope Ned doesn't get it. Anyone know if this stuff is going around?!?

On a side note, Happy Birthday to Kim today. Also please pray for her family, her aunt just passed away.
