2 fevers, Daddy is stepping up

Saturday night, we went to Nana's for dinner. Nana was a bit tired, well it turns out she is sick.
Yesterday morning Nana had a 101 fever.

Aunt Pat (Great Aunt Pat to Brinson) is visiting for the next 2 weeks came over to dinner at the Zaldivar household with Grampa, Abuelo, Grandma, Uncle Mike and Aunt KD. We had a nice time visiting.

But last night, after everyone left, Mommy felt ill with a sore throat and "ding!".... has a fever.......so Daddy has stepped up. Mommy is quarantined from Brinson until her illness is under control.

Brinson cannot afford to get sick.....even though she is larger she is still not a full size person and her lungs even though require no O2 are not like yours and mine.. Also this is RSV season until March and she has not finished her flu shot (broken up in to 2 over 1 month) and her preventative RSV shot (5 $1500 shots, 1 every month).

BTW Uncle Mike and Aunt KD were at the Caymans last week and thank goodness Hurricane Paloma gave them no issues besides some bad weather.

Brinson looooooooooooves her Daddy so much. I was able to capture these today while they were playing. They are so cute together. How did I get so lucky???

Any advice?

When we first started feeding Brinson the bottle, she was really gung-ho. She was drinking anywhere from 20-70cc in each feeding. Then we started rice cereal which progressed to oatmeal once daily. She now has no interest in her bottle, or pacifier for that matter. She does suck her thumb often so we know she's capable. We have a great OT working with us and are really struggling to get Brinson to eat. She's gaining weight so that's no problem (she was 12lbs 12.5 oz tonite!), we just feel like we are going backwards. The OT recommended that we stop all cereal for a few days and just try bottle to see if she'll do better. We are feeding her every 3 1/2 hours per the GI doc (she gets 71-74cc each feed). She seems to be tolerating it and is having very little residuals. If we push the food in the NGT too fast she does reflux. Ned and I just wondered if anyone might have some "tricks up their sleeve" that we can use to get her to take her bottle.

Brinson was enjoying her new "piano" so much she fell asleep in the middle of playing with it! Ha! Ned should be posting some vids in the next couple days or so.
